MBK Lifeline

Feeling good about oneself is the foundation in building self esteem. If you don’t have confidence in yourself, you will project inferiority to others. Whether the student has low self esteem due to words that have been spoken over them, failures of some sort they have encountered, or if they just need a boost in their self image, this class will give them practical tools in building self esteem.

Goal Setting, Dream Big

Dreams do come true, IF. . . . . you set a goal, stay focused, and meet it. Students will learn how to make their dream a reality by staying motivated, organized and not allowing themselves to give up when opposition comes. They will learn how to set short and long term goals, reward themselves, and have fun doing so.

Conflict Resolutions

What is a conflict? Is it normal to feel frustrated? Will I make it as an adult? No one understands!

When can I make my own decisions? Conflicts, conflicts, will they ever go away?

Students will learn that conflicts are a part of life. How you view them makes all the difference. They will learn how to develop a positive mind set, develop skills such as responding to failure, and solving conflicts.

Building Friendships and Relationships

Having friends is important and being a friend to others is just as important. Students will learn how to choose friends that have good character traits, and positive goals. They will be friends who will hold each other accountable for their actions. They will also learn the importance of developing a friendship first, before building a relationship, especially with the opposite sex. In developing a solid friendship first, relationships are stronger and last longer.

Leadership I & II

Leadership is influence. Students will learn how to develop leadership skills so they can go and influence their world.

Many of our children are in desperate need of help understanding basic reading and math skills. Even more so desperately need a positive role model to get involved in their everyday lives.
