Mentoring
MBK Life Coach Mentoring Program is a community strategy designed to bridge the gap between formerly incarcerated men and women and the faith community. MBK is inviting clergy and church members throughout the city to get involved in helping these men and women in their transition back to society.
MBK participants are provided with a mentor who provides guidance on employment, spiritual development, community resources and who also serves as a daily source of support. Working in conjunction with MBK, this initiative affords our participants the best possible and most effective support system upon release.
This 12 week program includes the followng workshops:
- In Pursuit of Pupose
- The Vision Within
- Developing the Leader Within
- Change and How to Handle it
- Building Self Esteem & Assertiveness
- Conflict - How to handle it
- Communication Strategies - Effective Communication
- Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Business Etiquette
- Job Readiness; dealing with the basic of obtaining a job, what's required to keep it
